I travel solo these days, but when I do an adventure tour, I prefer to let the professionals take care of the planning and logistics, so all I have to do is hit the “Buy” button, train and show up for my adventure. I find it is obviously easier, but also much safer, too. Plus, it’s often less expensive due to organizing logistics for one, and it offers terrific companionship.

Baja Mexico Adventures

Todos Santos, we will ‘glamp’ on Isla Espiritu – also on my Bucket List! It’s going to be amazing (and my 8th Active Adventures tour – I LOVE this company!!!)

“Solo-Together” is a term I coined for traveling solo but with a group. Everyone would be on the same itinerary and stay in the same inns, but you have the flexiblity each day to decide if you want to walk with some of the group, on your own, or with new friends you’ve met along the way. You can mix it up as the day progresses to create your own unique walking adventure.
A group of us did the Portuguese Way Camino “Solo-Together” in April of 2025 and it was a blast – and a hit way to travel! Check out the video here.
