I travel solo these days, but when I do an adventure tour, I prefer to let the professionals take care of the planning and logistics, so all I have to do is hit the “Buy” button, train and show up for my adventure. I find it is obviously easier, but also much safer, too. Plus, it’s often less expensive due to organizing logistics for one, and it offers terrific companionship.

This absolutely stunning and challenging adventure takes you through three countries: Switzerland, Italy and France! Rated 4 out of 5 for difficulty, so make sure you train. Not only will we hike the Circuit around Mont Blanc, we will also be hiking and kayaking. There are also adventure options in lovely Chamonix, like hang gliding. In addition to adventure, we will also get to experience the culture of the region (such as visiting a cheese factory). Gorgeous scenery, great food and wine, fabulous country and company. El Camino : Portuguese Coastal Way
April 20 – May 3, 2025
We are still working out the details, but it’s a “Go” for April of 2025. We will travel ‘solo, yet together’ in a self-guided small group. This means, while you’ll have the support of a group, each day you can walk your own Camino: at your own pace, start time, etc. We’ll be with you when you want company, yet you can walk anytime solo, as you desire as the day and days go by. Bhutan Cultural and Adventure Tour
October 2 – 14, 2025
Taking $350 ‘Holding’ deposits now as we build our group for a truly exciting and fascinating adventure in Bhutan!
Not only will we hike to see Tiger’s Nest (pictured), but we will raft, bike and explore Bhutan’s most important cultural sites. We’ll meet with monks and villagers to learn how they live. You can try your hand at the national sport: archery and other interactive exchanges with locals on this custom designed ATA adventure. Note that this trip will be different than my previous trip, but will include the “Best of” Bhutan, but you can get a good idea of this most unusual country by listening to my previous episode.

Everest Base Camp
September 2025 – 19 Days
We are considering trekking to Everest Base Camp (EBC) prior to the Bhutan adventure, since we will already be so close. Episode and details link
This means we also get to see the exciting and funky Kathmandu in Nepal before going on an EPIC trek (5 out of 5 difficulty, but DOABLE if you are fit and you TRAIN!).
At the earliest, we would begin our Nepal adventure in Kathmandu on September 8 – 26, but if we get enough people, I am going to try to start the trip a couple of days later so we finish up in time for a brief rest in Kathmandu before heading to Bhutan.
Right now we are just exploring WHO is interested. Reach out to Kit if you want to keep in the loop as this trip fleshes out.
